"We delay the Process"
When I was on a trip with Hazur Maharaj Ji once, he had handed a letter to one of the sevadars, requesting the sevadar to post it for him right away as it was urgent. Quite a few days latter, we were in a car and Master was sitting next to the driver. He opened up the cubby hole, and look out a letter- the same letter that he had asked the sevadar to post for him. Master didn’t get annoyed, he didn’t reprimand the sevadar- he just sadly shook his head and asked the driver to stop at the nearest postbox. Now this is probably just what he does when we don’t attend to our meditation as he keeps on telling us to do, as time is short, the matter is urgent. He w won’t get annoyed, he won’t reprimand us.
He will just sadly shake his head, because we are merely delaying the time of our union with him. We only have a short time left in this world, no matter what age we are. Let us live in such a way that when the time comes to leave we can cross with ease. We should be cheerful, enthusiastic about everything. We should start enjoying small, ordinary day to day thing with a new freshness, a new vitality, remembering that they are all there for a purpose, and when they are over they are over for good. There is no room in the life of a satsangi for negativity.
The tree of life
Maharaj Ji said, “Life is like the shade of tree, ever-changing and never constant.” We must accept changes and not be our troubles, all our hurts and disappointments, and learn to live in Master’s will. Practice doing everything just as if Master were walking beside you, your constant companion. Make a promise to yourself every morning that “today is going to be a beautiful day because Master is going to spend it with me.
And at night when you go to bed remember how many beautiful things you have to be thankful for. Progress on a spiritual path is slow, and it has to be so. Saint Paltu says: “However liberally you may water a tree, it needs time to brush into blossom.” Be patient, know that every time you walk with Master, talk to master, sit in meditation, you are getting closer and closer to his Radiant Form. In time, you will be able to step over into his outstretched arms.
